May the 4th be with your wallet
It’s the most wonderful day of the year for Star Wars fans — May the 4th. This year, Star Wars Day falls on a Saturday and Free Comic Book Day and the same month as The Phantom Menace’s 25th anniversary. So, there’s a lot of Star Wars stuff to love this day, this week, this month; including a bunch of new merch and deals.
Shop small Star Wars deals
The Nerf Herder Co.: The Star Wars and bookish merch shop has a few exciting new items for May the 4th: a Halcyon candle (inspired by the Galactic Starcruiser), a Fulcrum candle (a collab with The Nerdware Store), air fresheners inspired by iconic characters, and five Star Wars-themed lip glosses. While you’re shopping, might I recommend their Thrawn candle and Wild Space Cowboy wax melts?
The Nerdware Store: Speaking of, The Nerdware Store has some seriously cute and quirky geekware — from Purrgil stickers and “one with the Force” tees to Loth cat sticker sheets and Fulcrum pins.
A Fan Of: I’ve been a fan of…A Fan Of for a while, and it’s past time I splurge on their shop. They have a little bit of everything for the space babes — pins of the Ghost crew stylized as Loth cats, Chopper hair bows, hair clips with our favorite Star Wars
menbaby girls, and mini frame pins to show off pictures of Darth Maul and Jar Jar Binks.
Space Wizards Book Club on Etsy
Obviously, I have to plug my own small business — the Space Wizards Book Club shop on Etsy.
Just in time for Star Wars Day, I have a couple of new items: The Jedi Council bookmark inspired by The Living Force, and a “bookish” in Aurebesh sticker. I’ve also restocked the popular High Republic reading guide bookmarks and “Anakin, no” stickers.

Disney Store
The Disney Store has an impressive lineup for Star Wars Day this year. In fact, there are multiple new collections available now and dropping on May 4 — May the 4th Be With You 2024, Sands of Tatooine, Young Jedi Adventures, Clones of the Republic, and The Phantom Menace 25th anniversary.
That’s not all. There are also six new lightsabers hitting the store today and tomorrow, including the giant Darth Maul Legacy Lightsaber box set.
Still, that’s not all. Check out Disney Store’s “Execute Order 5.4” page and their entire Star Wars collection now and throughout the weekend.
Girls Crew
To say I’m obsessed with Girls Crew is an understatement. For Christmas, I made a wishlist and added basically the entire Star Wars collection. I ended up getting two sets of earrings and a gorgeous Ahsoka ring.
To celebrate Star Wars Day and Episode I’s 25th birthday, Girls Crew dropped a Phantom Menace collection. Again, I want it ALL, especially that Queen Amidala ring and the podracing earrings. The collection is available now, but it’s going fast.
Goodwill Finds
As a Star Wars fan on a budget (at least I should be), I love thrifting for vintage goodies. Buying brand-new Star Wars books and games is nice, but there’s nothing like the thrill of the hunt through second-hand stores like Goodwill.
What’s even cooler is that Goodwill has an online store — GoodwillFinds.com. Somehow, I did not know about this website until GoodwillFinds reached out to share their newly curated Star Wars collection.
The collection has over 1,000 Star Wars items so far — from rare and vintage items to books, toys, and more. The items on GoodwillFinds are picked from thousands of stores around the country, and proceeds help fund Goodwill’s social service efforts.
Amazon
Amazon has a “get ready for May the 4th” collection with Star Wars Day 2024 t-shirts, toys, clothing, and other merch. More will likely be added as we get closer to Star Wars Day — including special deals available only on May 4.
As an Amazon Associates/Influencer program member, I have a storefront of curated lists for Star Wars books, bookish gifts, and more. I made a Star Wars Day shopping guide last year, and I made one for this year as well.
*Note: I earn commissions from items purchased from my storefront and shopping guides. Another side hustle for the Space Wizards Book Club!
I’ve already got over three dozen items in the Star Wars Day 2024 shopping guide, and I’m adding more each day — from books and toys to Lego sets and home goods.

More Star Wars deals to come!
Since this newsletter went out the day before Star Wars Day, there will inevitably be more new merch and deals announced. Check back here to see what other stuff I add to this guide. And share your May the 4th finds in the comments!
Free Comic Book Day
Don’t forget: Saturday, May the 4th is also Free Comic Book Day. And there are two Star Wars comics to pick up at your local shop — Star Wars and Young Jedi Adventures.
While you’re there, check out the shop’s other offerings — from Star Wars comics and collectibles to trading card games and merch from your other favorite fandoms. Local comic and game shops are the backbones of smaller nerd communities and can use any and all support we can give.

Grabbed the kindle versions of a handful of High Republic books I was missing and already spent my Lego budget back on the 1st. Thanks for the list!
I am excited for free comic book day! For anyone not reading it I would recommend the Darth Vader run that is going on right now. There is some really cool art in those books and the story is really interesting.
