SWBC: 1 year of Space Wizards Book Club!๐
Plus: New bookmark designs are available now in the Etsy shop!
Happy 1st birthday, SWBC๐
One year ago (tomorrow, June 29), I officially launched the Space Wizards Book Club. The last year has been such a fun adventure โ from reviewing the latest Star Wars books and creating reading guides to launching an Etsy shop and generally geeking out with all of you about our love for Star Wars.
I cannot thank all of you enough for your support and suggestions this past year. It warms my heart every single time I hear that a reading guide or book recommendation helped someone get into Star Wars reading.
This newsletter is a passion project and a labor of love, but it also brings me immense joy โ not just because of the growth in followers. I also just love to read Star Wars books and write about them.
And hopefully, in the not-too-distant future, I can write a Star Wars book. Iโll continue to work towards that goal and manifest it whenever I can.
In the meantime, thank you again for a fantastic year of this newsletter, which has grown into a cozy community. I canโt wait to see what the next year has in store.

New to the SWBC Etsy shop
More thank yous are in order for the amazing first week of the Space Wizards Book Club Etsy shop.
Since launching, Iโve had more than a dozen orders and a lot of interest in my bookmark designs. I sold out of one bookmark, and nearly sold out of a few others.
Luckily, I had a shipment of more inventory and new designs on the way. There are seven new bookmark designs available now in the shop, including the one shown above, another Thrawn quote, an Ahsoka-inspired design, and one featuring the Jedi Code.
Hereโs a look at all the new ones.
Interested in any of these? Check them out on Etsy.
New to the collection
If youโve followed me long enough, youโll know Iโm a sucker for special edition Star Wars books โ especially foreign language translations.
Recently, I was able to get my hands on two new editions โ the Japanese translation of Ahsoka by E.K. Johnston, and Thrawn Ascendancy: Lesser Evil in French.
Both were purchased through Amazon Japan and Amazon France, respectively. Publishers Gakken and Pocket continue to come out with stunning editions of Star Wars books, and I very much plan to keep on buying them.
Other international editions on my shelf:
Japanese translation of The High Republic: Into the Dark
UK paperback of Queenโs Shadow
French manga edition of Lost Stars
Star Wars books and comics out this week
June 27
Darth Vader Vol. 6: Return of the Handmaidens trade paperback
The High Republic: The Blade trade paperback
June 28
The High Republic Adventures #6-8
Darth Vader: Black, White & Red #3
Doctor Aphra #33
This is my favorite space for Star Wars news! So glad you have created this little slice of Star Wars joy, and I canโt wait to read your Star Wars book one day!
Also - LOVE the new bookmarks! Iโve made one order and plan to order more soon! ๐ซถ๐ผ
