Can you believe the year is almost over? I’m already excited about all the new Star Wars books we’re getting next year. So far, there are five full-length novels, another wave of Essential Legends books, and a slate of art books and reference guides.
I can’t wait to get my grubby little hands on all of them. Bookmark this list of all the Star Wars books coming out in 2025 — so far.

I’m in two(!) Star Wars book
Does having my story published in a hardcover Star Wars collection count as being in a Star Wars book? I like to think it does.
Out this week is Star Wars Insider Presents The Phantom Menace 25 Year Anniversary Special Edition. Inside are interviews with George Lucas and the cast and crew of the movie as well as vintage Insider material published in previous issues over the years. That includes my story published in Insider earlier this year for The Phantom Menace’s 25th anniversary.
Being included in this historic collection is, quite literally, a dream come true. I hope it’s a taste of what’s to come for me in my Star Wars writing journey.
Oh, and I found out that two of my other Insider stories — interviews with Zoraida Cordova and Lydia Kang — are collected in The High Republic: Tales of Enlightment. This hardcover Star Wars Insider digest edition includes all the Phase 2 short stories as well as interviews with the authors (that I wrote!) and reading guides.
So, I’m in two! Star Wars books. Surreal.
Speaking of Insider, my latest story is done and off to the editor. I’m told it’ll be in issue 230 — so either late December or early January. Stay tuned for more details on that!
What do you want to see for the holidays?
With Halloween over (sad face), it’s now officially the holiday season. And I want to know: What types of posts do you want to see during the holiday season and the rest of 2024?
I’m thinking bookish gifting ideas and other holiday gift guides for Star Wars fans. These will likely have affiliate links and deals for items in my Etsy shop — as a writer in this economy, every sale helps, no matter how small. I also have at least two more Star Wars book reviews coming this year — The Force Unleashed’s new audiobook (next week) and Tempest Breaker audio drama (Dec. 3).
And since I’m fully immersed in the Cosmere, I’d love to share reading updates and guides to reading Brandon Sanderson’s books. His high fantasy books and series are great for Star Wars readers.
If there’s anything else you’d like to see in this newsletter for the rest of the year, let me know in the comments!
I am an ancient original ‘77 fan and enjoy pretty much all the new content. I am saddened by the dumping of Acolyte, sigh. We could have had a movie trilogy in this era easy. More sigh.
I also don’t have time sadly for games and comics so it’s the tv or film or books for me. Here’s the rub. I have no time for Audi on books either as I need to be sharp when I work out side. I almost fell off a ladder when trying to listen to an audiobook so it’s a bummer we don’t get in print books . I also find that sharing the young adult books with young adults is fun. They are mostly very well written.
Any way thanks for all the hard work you put in. This is the Way.
