Star Wars books and comics coming out in March
One is another High Republic Audible Original release.
Star Wars books and comics of March
There are some exciting new Star Wars releases in March — Jedi Knights #1, a new High Republic audio original short story, and a gorgeous new Complete Locations reference book from DK.
Since there are no full-length novels this month (I’m still reeling from the masterpiece that was The Mask of Fear), March is a great time to read some Imperial-era books to prep for season 2 of Andor.
Over on Fable, the Space Wizards Book Club is finishing up Tarkin and gearing up to pick our next read. We will likely vote on The Mask of Fear, Inquisitor: Rise of the Red Blade, A New Dawn, and The Martian. If you’d like to read any of those with us — or have another suggestion — come join the book club!

The High Republic: Haunted Starlight
Another audio exclusive story dropped this week. And it’s a High Republic one. Haunted Starlight by George Mann is the sequel to Seeds of Starlight by the same author. It’s also the third title in the new Audible Original series of Star Wars stories. The first, Padawan’s Pride, was a surprise release. Since readers and reviewers like me are now on the lookout for more drops, Seeds of Starlight and Haunted Starlight weren’t as much of a surprise. Still, these titles have gotten little promotion beyond the Star Wars bookish community and the authors. As I’ve said before, the lack of marketing is a shame, especially because these are middle-grade stories that already struggle to attract as much attention as their adult and YA peers.
Still, at around 4 and a half hours each, they’re fun, fast-paced, and easily digestible Star Wars stories. They’re absolutely worth your time — as long as you have an Audible membership.
Publisher’s summary:
Days after the Jedi stationed on the oceanic world of Eiram have seemingly neutralized any threats to the local people, mysterious growths begin to overtake the city. When the Jedi make a connection to the sunken wreckage of Starlight Beacon, they’re forced to embark on a thrilling underwater adventure where the gloomy depths hide horrors at every turn.

I’ve got another story in this month’s Star Wars Insider! This one’s all about video game tie-in novels like Battlefront II: Inferno Squad, Battlefront: Twilight Company, Jedi: Battle Scars, and Star Wars: Hunters: Battle for the Arena. I interviewed the authors of each novel and wrote this in October, so I’m thrilled to finally see it in print. I’m also excited to see my name and words next to some of the most popular Star Wars games — I’m terrible at them, but I love their stories and books!

Coming soon…
Star Wars Insider 231: Coming in April is a feature that’s my favorite Insider story yet. It’s about Star Wars non-fiction and reference books, and includes interviews with Chris Kempshall, Kristin Baver, Amy Richau, and Cole Horton.
Star Wars Insider 233: This I’m currently working on, as I’ve just finished the last set of interviews with High Republic authors. The feature is a look back at The High Republic with as many of the authors and comic writers as I could get. I cannot wait to share all the juicy details from the last four years of The High Republic. I don’t have a publication date for this issue yet, but it’s expected to come out after the last THR book and comic — so, likely sometime over the summer.
