Holiday gift guide for Star Wars book lovers
From bookmarks and collectibles to special editions and art books.
The holiday shopping season is in full swing, and here at the Space Wizards Book Club, I’ve got a gift guide packed with recommendations for the Star Wars book lover in your life. Most of these items I already own, so I can attest to their coolness.
If you’re looking for something specific or need a more custom recommendation, head over to the SWBC subscriber chat in the Substack app to ask.

Bookmarks and bookish accessories
Lightsaber bookmarks: The perfect Star Wars bookmark does exist, and it’s a wooden lightsaber with a colored tassel. I own two of these bookmarks — Obi-Wan Kenobi’s lightsaber from the original trilogy and the prequel era. This shop also has lightsaber bookmarks for Rey Skywalker, Princess Leia, and Darth Vader, two for Ahsoka Tano, and more. You can also find a bunch of lightsaber bookmark options on Etsy.
Book/tablet holder: Give their arms a rest and make their couch- or bed-reading time easier with a cozy lap pillow to hold their book, tablet, or e-reader. I have this one from Target, and it’s among the best $20 I’ve ever spent.
Sticky tabs and annotation kits: If your giftee is like me and loves highlighting their books and the aesthetic of perfectly tabbed edges, consider gifting them some pretty sticky tabs or making them a fun annotation kit — stickies, bookmarks, pens, etc. I’ve used these and these to tab my books. You can also buy annotation kits and get ideas for them on Etsy.
Shelf decor
Funko Pops: You really can’t go wrong with gifting a Pop! Funko figurine of someone’s favorite Star Wars character. And there are hundreds of Pops for Star Wars with more and more coming out all the time. Some of the ones on my wishlist include the Force ghost 3-pack of Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Yoda, and the Krrsantan Pop. Find more Star Wars Pops here.
Holocrons: The Jedi and Sith Holocrons on my shelf are from Galaxy’s Edge at Walt Disney World, but you can also find handmade and custom ones from small businesses on Etsy.
Star Wars logo light: In case anyone is confused about what your giftee’s favorite thing is, give them this Star Wars logo light. It’s a must-have for book readers and collectors.
Special editions
Barnes & Noble exclusive editions
The Barnes & Noble exclusive editions of Star Wars books include a foldout poster of art from the book. And, most of the time, every new Star Wars book that comes out has an exclusive edition at B&N.
Here’s what’s available online or in-store: The Princess and the Scoundrel, Brotherhood, Shadow of the Sith, Master & Apprentice, Convergence, Thrawn: Lesser Evil, The Rising Storm, Black Spire, and The Rise of Skywalker novelization.
Barnes & Noble also has two new collectible editions that collect multiple books and stories in one sleek, leatherbound hardcover with exclusive art inside and out. B&N currently has Tales of Kenobi and The Bounty Hunter Wars still available.
Goldsboro editions
Goldsboro, which is based in the UK, is known for their beautiful special editions. Their Star Wars books typically have stunning sprayed edges and many even come signed by the author. Right now, these are the books available on Goldsboro’s website: Convergence, Shadow of the Sith, Brotherhood, Ronin, The Fallen Star, and The Rising Storm.
My copy of Convergence with pink sprayed edges is in the mail, and I cannot wait to get it.
Foreign language editions
If your giftee is a serious Star Wars book collector like me, one of the best things to find is an edition in a foreign language that has different cover art or formatting than the English version. Two of my most prized Star Wars books are my French Pocket editions of Thrawn Ascendancy: Chaos Rising and Greater Good, which you buy through Amazon France.
There’s also this stunning Portuguese edition of Kenobi by John Jackson Miller that features a beautiful cover and inside art.
To find more foreign editions of Star Wars books, you’ll have to do a bit of digging and waiting through places like Thriftbooks, Ebay, Mercari, and foreign Amazon websites.
Manga
It’s no secret the creation of Star Wars was heavily inspired by the historic filmmaker Akira Kurosawa and features clear Japanese cultural influences. So, having a bunch of Star Wars stories transformed into manga makes them all the more special. And, they’re the perfect gift for diehard Star Wars book lovers.
Here is all the Star Wars manga you can choose from.
Artbooks, reference books, story collections
A great gift for a book lover is, well, a new book. But the Star Wars book lover in your life may already have all the newest releases. So, an art book or reference book could be the perfect gift to add to their collection.
Here are a few of my recommendations.
Clothing and accessories
For The High Republic fans: Amazon has an entire shop for The High Republic, including a section of t-shirts featuring beloved characters from this era of storytelling. Not entirely surprising, but my favorites are the shirt featuring Marchion Ro and other members of the Nihil.
Out of Print: THE store for book lovers, Out of Print, also has a Star Wars collection of bookish goodies from tees and totes to bookmarks, pins, and socks. I’ve had my eye on that Heir to the Empire t-shirt for a while, so hopefully, Santa delivers that.
Items from small businesses
Padawan Kasari Art: PadawanKasari over on Instagram and TikTok has a collection of unique Star Wars gifts featuring her own artwork, including tees and stickers with characters from the original trilogy, Rebels, and The Mandalorian.
Yellow House Family Co.: If your giftee is obsessing over the characters from Convergence or Andor, check out this shop’s t-shirts, stickers, and buttons. My picks are the Thylefire Squadron tee, Axel “Chaos” Greylark sticker and pin, and the Antilles’ Flight School shirt.
Jackie Archer Art: This shop has some of the best and funniest stickers I’ve ever seen, including “Bananakin,” a General Grievous sticker that just says “asthma,” and a Chopper sticker that says “I’m going to cause problems on purpose.” Also, if you’re really into Attack of the Clones and the battle droids, check out her Roger Roger body pillowcase.
Creative Nerd Studio: If you’re looking for fun stickers to adorn your emotional support water bottle, check out Creative Nerd Studio’s selection. My water bottle is currently sporting one of Grand Admiral Thrawn and a minimalist Hera Syndulla.
There are so many great small businesses and creators out there with Star Wars products, so share your favorites in the comments!
