All the Star Wars book and comics news from San Diego Comic-Con
All eyes are on The High Republic Phase 2.
The High Republic Phase 2
While The High Republic Phase 1 took Star Wars fans back 200 years before the events of the Skywalker Saga, Phase 2 is set to go back even further — 150 years before Phase 1 books and comics.
So far, there have been two adult novels, two YA books, two middle-grade books, several different comic series and one-shots, and multiple reference books announced for Phase 2, which is called Quest of the Jedi.
During the Lucasfilm Publishing panel at San Diego Comic-Con last weekend, readers got a sneak peek at some of The High Republic's offerings arriving as soon as the fall.
The Battle of Jedha
The final official cover for the audio drama The Battle of Jedha by George Mann was revealed (see above). The story was first mentioned in The High Republic Adventures #9, and the audio drama is expected to take us back to the spiritual moon we saw in Rogue One. We can expect to see a young Maz Kanata, whose pirate crew fought in the Battle of Jedha hundreds of years before Jedha City was destroyed in the test of the Death Star.
The Battle of Jedha audio drama is set to release on Jan. 3, 2023. The script book is expected on Feb. 14, 2023.
All the comics
The High Republic: The Nameless Terror: George Mann will also write the limited series, which features a host of new characters and a villain that is, well, nameless — for now. But, could it possibly be the same Nameless monsters unleashed on the Jedi of Starlight Beacon in The Fallen Star? We will soon see.
The High Republic Adventures: Daniel José Older and Toni Bruno will be back creating THR Adventures, whose first cover was revealed during the SDCC panel. The first issue features a much younger Sav Malagán, a Kyuzo Jedi stationed at the temple on Takodana in the newer stories.

As if the cover of The Princess and the Scoundrel by Beth Revis couldn’t get any more beautiful, Del Rey shared the full art, which shows all of Leia’s stunning, light green gossamer wedding dress.
Also, don’t mind me while I still sob over this photo posted by Del Rey Books:

At Comic-Con, Baver revealed one of the 100 objects is the Bust of Count Dooku, which lived in the Jedi Archive on Coruscant after the Jedi left the Order and joined the ranks of the Lost.
